In today's era of information explosion, LED display screens, as an important carrier of information dissemination, are widely used in many scenes such as shopping malls, transportation hubs, stage performances, etc. However, the problem of color distortion often troubles users, causing many complaints, greatly affecting the information transmission effect and user experience.
The reasons for color distortion of LED display screens are complex and diverse. From the hardware level, there are subtle differences in the luminous characteristics of different batches of LED lamp beads, such as the inconsistency of the chip's luminous wavelength, brightness and angle, which will cause the same picture to have uneven colors. Moreover, during the installation process, if the gap between the modules is too large, the angle is deviated, or the local temperature difference is caused by uneven heat dissipation, it will also have a negative impact on the color performance. From the perspective of parameter setting, if the basic parameters such as brightness, contrast, and color temperature do not match the scene requirements, or the gamma curve is set incorrectly, the color will deviate from the real state. In addition, the color temperature of the surrounding light is not uniform, such as the mixture of warm white light and cold white light, or the reflective material interferes with the screen display, which will also cause visual color difference.
At this time, the colorimeter becomes a powerful assistant to solve this problem. Colorimeter is mainly divided into spectrophotometer and colorimeter. Its working principle is to connect the colorimeter to the computer and output different colors to the LED display through the supporting software. After the colorimeter recognizes the color output by the screen, it transmits the data back to the computer software for analysis, adjusts the displayed white point and Gamma value, outputs the correct color identified by the colorimeter, and finally generates an ICC color file unique to the display and stores it in the computer for the system to read and use, so as to achieve accurate color calibration.
In order to help everyone master the operation of the colorimeter, we have carefully prepared a video course on the operation of the colorimeter. The course starts with the preliminary preparation, including the selection and connection of the colorimeter, the control of ambient light, etc. In the operation link, each step of the calibration process is demonstrated in detail, such as installing the driver first and then connecting the device in the basic calibration; how to select the appropriate color temperature parameters according to different usage scenarios in the advanced settings, such as the 6500K color temperature commonly used by designers and the 5500K color temperature suitable for video editing; the setting skills of advanced parameters such as gamma curve, color gamut, white point, etc. in professional calibration. The video course also includes answers to frequently asked questions, such as how to correct deviations during the color calibration process, how to calibrate regularly to ensure long-term stability of the display effect, etc. By following the step-by-step operation of the video course, even novices who are new to the colorimeter can easily get started and quickly solve the color distortion problem of the LED display, so that the display can regain accurate and brilliant colors, effectively avoid complaints caused by color problems, and improve the quality of information dissemination.
